For children and teens:
A psychoeducational assessment is an opportunity to gain useful information about your child's ability within an academic environment. This information is important to teachers who are planning to help your child learn to the best of his/her ability. Assessment information and appropriate planning for your child may also reduce frustration in school and assist in developing to full potential. Every child has a unique profile as well as strengths and by identifying these, it may assist in more opportunities for success.
For Adult Learners:
Students beginning college or university or who have returned may require an updated psychoeducational assessment. An assessment may assist in continuing to access post-secondary accommodations.
For Children, Teens, and Adults:
A Psychoeducational Assessment is a comprehensive assessment that is designed to assist in diagnosing a learning disability/disorder, determining learning style, or identifying giftedness. A typical assessment will examine the following:

Additional measures to examine other aspects of functioning and that possibly affect learning may also include:

A Psychoeducational Assessment includes the following:
*initial Consultation
*administration of standardized testing
*data analysis and interpretation of standardized testing
*a report of the findings and recommendations
*a feedback meeting to discuss the results and recommendations
